Round table discussions

Working Lunch: Roundtables

13.30-14.00

Take a break from the buzz of the main networking space and dive into focused, energising collaboration with our lunchtime roundtable discussions. Hosted in Stream C, these small-group sessions offer a chance to connect with fellow delegates, exchange ideas, and work through challenges in a more intentional, hands‑on setting.

Lunch will be served just outside the room before the discussions begin, giving you time to grab something to eat and settle in before the conversations get underway.

Spaces are extremely limited — only 12 participants per table — so we strongly encourage early booking. Roundtable bookings open on 4 February, and full details will be shared with all registered delegates at that time.

Inclusive research in practice: a playbook round table

Inclusion is no longer optional, but embedding it meaningfully into research design can be challenging. This Firefish Inclusive Research Playbook provides a structured framework for identifying exclusion risks, adapting methodologies, and designing more representative research. In this session, delegates will work collaboratively to apply its principles to real-world scenarios, sharing experiences and co-creating solutions that turn inclusive intent into inclusive practice.

What’s cooking in innovation? lessons from the kitchen table

Innovation has never mattered more or been harder to deliver. This lively, peer-led exchange will explore what’s working and what isn’t when it comes to innovating under pressure. Delegates will leave with three field-tested “golden rules” for delivering stronger innovation under pressure and a practical “Recipe Card” or “Innovation Brief” template to apply immediately within their team.

What happens when research becomes unlimited?

Join a discussion on unlimited research models vs. project-based approaches. Imagine your organisation could run unlimited professional depth interviews on any question, any time, with results in 48 hours. How would this change what you research? This interactive roundtable brings together delegates to wrestle with a fundamental shift in how research could work. Delegates will co-create a living document of ideas to take back to their organisations.

When class meets colour: navigating identity, bias & belonging at work

People do not leave their histories, identities or constraints at the door of their workplaces. The intersection of class background and race shapes how individuals are seen, heard, rewarded - and often constrained. Join a session exploring how class and race intersect in research workplaces and beyond and discuss the direction we must take if we are serious about doing the best, most representative research we can.
